We’re so pleased to finally see the sun shining! After all that rain, the warmth of the sun will quickly get the grass growing meaning that all the lambs that were born during April can start nibbling some sweet, fresh new shoots. The chickens enjoy the new grass, too, ranging further and eating the growing flower heads; we’re sure that this contributes to the great taste of their meat and eggs!
We’re pleased to say that our long promised freezer has now been installed in the Veg Shed at Kenson’s Farm in Sutton Mandeville. Hugh and Liz Collins grow fantastic organic vegetables at Kenson’s which they sell from the Veg Shed on Wednesdays and Fridays, so now you can buy locally grown vegetables and choose a joint of meat, some chops or delicious pork sausages to go with them.
