Back to Nature – A Day of Natural Well-Being

15th July 2018 9.30am – 5pm

‘Tom’s knowledge and passion is awesome… Mark’s opening our senses to nature will change the way I experience life’ 2016 attendee

Losing our connection with nature has harmful consequences for our own happiness and well-being, as well as for the well-being of the rest of life on Earth. Join us for a day on the farm as we invite you to explore the bond we all have with the natural world and discover the calm, vitality and fulfilment to be found in nature.
Drawing on mindfulness of nature, voluntary simplicity, outdoor therapy and herbal medicine, this day will allow you to walk, breath, relax, mediate, feed yourself with good food, and discover the wealth of health giving herbs growing on the farm. We will offer you gentle exercises and techniques designed to help you nurture yourself and the world around you and teach you how to make simple herbal medicines that can benefit your health and happiness.
The day will be led by Tom Mettyear and Mark Sparrow who jointly run Angel Cottage Organics at Haddon Copse Farm. As well as farming, Tom has extensive knowledge of native plants and traditional herbal medicine through a 30 year career with Neal’s Yard Remedies and Mark works with eco-therapy and nature based mindfulness in his private counselling and therapy practice.

Yin Yang Yoga – A Day of Natural Balance

16th September 2018 9.30am – 5pm

‘Jasmine – without doubt the best yoga I have ever experienced. You are a beautiful and inspiring teacher – thank you!’ 2017 attendee

Yin and Yang describe the two qualities or energies present in everything from our food and our bodies, to the seasons and the world around us. Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. In this one day retreat Jasmine will introduce how to cultivate balance and strength by blending dynamic, active Yang sequences with slower, quieter Yin practices.
This day retreat allows you the chance to withdraw from the stresses and strains of everyday life to a quiet and secluded place in order to rest, relax and restore. You will be nourished by delicious vegetarian food, beautiful surroundings and inspirational teaching.
We are delighted to welcome Jasmine Pradhan back to the farm for this one-day retreat. Jasmine leads our hugely popular weekend yoga retreat as well as leading exceptional yoga and trekking retreats in the Nepal Himalaya. This weekend is suitable for beginners and more experienced participants alike. Jasmine also teaches extensively in London.
